Masters of art
The Masters of art series is
born out of a desire to combine the musical art and the visual one.
Well-known painters collaborated to the cover of two series of
12 special CD's.
For the first twelve CD's, paintings of the Belgian modern painter Erwin Bogaert were used to illustrate recordings made by Lazar Berman, Joaquin Achucarro, Nina Lelchuk, the Quatuor Ludwig, the Siwy Quartet, the Artistrio, Jerrold Rubenstein, Dalia Ouziel, the Haydn Quartet, Marie-Noëlle Damien, the Orchestre Symphonique de la RTBF, etc.
Visually, it's a very colourful and attractive ensemble of a musical outstanding quality.
The second series was illustrated by another Belgian painter, Lode Keustermans.
This more intimate and impressionist painter prefers soft, warm colours
that express the movement of music.
